Workshop aimed at creators who work with digital media and are interested both in using the audio-visual resources provided by the Internet and distributing their own works using this medium.
This is a technical workshop, albeit approached from within a theoretical framework, that involves analysis of the options of receiving and generating information and the new responsibilities of the Internet creator and editor.
Saturday 25 March -11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
- File compression formats: Compressing, burning, distributing and sharing images, video and audio. Understanding Divx, Mp3, Ogg and other formats.
- Introduction to P2P and Filesharing networks.
Filesharing networks have become the primary channel for the distribution of material on the Internet. P2P data transmission is one of the most complete sources of movies, music, images, texts, books and images to be found. Understanding how these networks operate enables users to take an active part in the community that shares information in this way and opens up opportunities for sharing our own contents.
