Pyrenees: the Journey of the Arts

A route with an events programme, dedicated to the communities of people who have travelled and who travel the Pyrenees: shepherds, exiles, hikers, mule drivers, and smugglers. At some points of the route, travellers encounter the proposals of different creators. Natural workshops, actions, and interventions associated with the landscape, the memory and the historical reality of the Pyrenees.

4 > 12 July “Trekking of the Arts” Journey on foot from Núria to Colera
Hiking, art and culture. A journey on foot featuring nature, history, art and creation. We will tell you where we are taking you but cannot reveal all the secrets of the artistic proposals that lie ahead: music, theatre, anthropology, humour, film, astronomy, and dance await.
If you wish to attend a specific “Trekking of the Arts” activity, head for the corresponding meeting point at the arranged time; the activity is free. If you wish to do the whole route, however, registration is required.

Appearances and disappearances on the way from Coma de Vaca to Ull de Ter. Agnès Mateus inaugurates the genre of “mountain performance”. A 3-hour walk is required to attend this activity.

Improvised verse. The festival of irony and popular poetry. Act in Catalan.
10 July 10.30 p.m. Garriguella camp site “The dream” documentary feature film
“The dream”, a documentary about the last migratory shepherd of the Plà de l’Estany. With Christophe Farnarier, director and “El Pipa” the shepherd who appears in the film. Act in Catalan.
