Sergi Aguilar | Transferir
Sergi Aguilar’s exhibition at Nau Côclea has been devised especially for this occasion. It is the summary of a series of research projects that the artist has performed in recent years. Aguilar reflects on the idea of landscape and on the distances between real and representational territory.
In this setting, the concept of mental territory is very important and is bounded by the act of travel and the object of the map.
Photocopies, plans, maps, metric indications and transfers comprise the formal body of this exhibition, which is accompanied by a book of “rectified maps” produced in collaboration with Clara Garí.
The geographer Joan Nogué, director of the Observatori del Paisatge (Landscape Observatory), will present the book “Vuelan las mudas. Quadern de notes” on the day the exhibition is inaugurated.
